PLAY Speech & Debate offers an engaging, skills-based enrichment program designed to help students strengthen their public speaking abilities, deepen critical thinking, and gain confidence in competitive debate. Whether students are looking to enhance their existing foundation or explore new debate formats, our program provides structured guidance, hands-on practice, and opportunities to compete.

Last year, our team hosted a highly successful 10-session Summer Debate Camp, featuring daily Public Forum classes, structured homework, and partnerships that helped students grow as both speakers and teammates. The camp concluded with a full tournament on the final day, allowing students to apply their skills in real rounds and demonstrate their preparation.

For the 2025-2026 school year, PLAY Speech & Debate features two nationally recognized formats: Public Forum Debate and Congressional Debate. Together, these programs prepare students to excel in both organized debate settings and real-world communication.

Classes are taught by dedicated high school volunteers with extensive backgrounds in competition, leadership, and instruction. Our team is passionate about making speech and debate accessible while helping students grow into confident speakers. While the course is free and operated by volunteer instructors, we encourage a small donation to help cover classroom and program costs.
