OUR TEAM

Thomas Liu

Co-President

Thomas Liu is a senior at Monte Vista High School. He first got involved with PLAY as a PLAY Math tutor. Outside of PLAY, Thomas likes to workout and play basketball. As co-president, Thomas is looking forward to fostering a more welcoming and productive PLAY community.

Matthew Fang

Co-President

Matthew Fang is a senior at Valley Christian High School. He has taught in PLAY Math for 3 years, previously served as outreach officer, and helped organize the inaugural PLAY Mathfest. He enjoys architecture, pure math, and good literature. Matthew is looking forward to driving a collaborative, ambitious, and action-driven year of progress in PLAY with this year’s multi-talented officer team.

Lily Yuan

External-Vice President

Lily is a junior at Amador Valley High School. She has been a member of PLAY since 2019, participating in events such as garage sales, food packagings and distributions, gardening, face mask refurbishings, and donations. She is the co-founder of the PLAY Language Arts subgroup and leader of the PLAY Speech & Debate subgroup. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis and volunteering. She looks forward to being a part of PLAY as it continues to grow.

Selina Lai

Organizational Vice-President

Selina Lai is a junior at the Quarry Lane School. She has been a PLAY member since 2020, often participating in food packing, bottle drives, and tutoring. She is the president of PLAY Times and a co-president of PLAY Language Arts. Outside of PLAY, Selina enjoys writing fiction and listening to music. She is excited to help make this another amazing year for PLAY by expanding connections and communication.

Nathan Han

Finance Vice-President

Nathan is a senior at Amador Valley High School. He has been volunteering at PLAY for the past six years and is the founder and current president of the PLAY EcoEarth subgroup. Last year, he was a youth leader for PLAY. Outside of PLAY, Nathan enjoys badminton, competitive math, and learning about meteorology. His goal is to keep accurate records of the financial situation of PLAY.

Jeffrey Liu

CMO

Jeffrey Liu is a junior attending Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton. Currently, he is a Chief Marketing Officer in PLAY Leadership. He has been involved in PLAY Math as a teacher since 2022. Jeffrey hopes to inspire his students to work hard and achieve in math.

Allison Zhang

Secretary

Allison is a junior at Albany High School. She has been a member of PLAY since 2022. She enjoys participating in events such as packing food, distributing care packages for people experiencing homelessness, visiting seniors in care centers, and gardening at community gardens. She is the president of the PLAY tutoring subgroup. Outside of PLAY, Allison loves hanging out with friends, volunteering, and baking. She is excited to continue contributing to the growth of PLAY.

Ryan Li

Outreach Officer

Ryan Li is a sophomore at Amador Valley High school who has been active within PLAY Leadership since 2021, participating in numerous volunteer events including supply distributions, performances for the elderly, food packaging, gardening, and more. He has served as both a youth leader and an event coordinator in the past at PLAY while also serving as the Co-President of the PLAY Tutoring subgroup over the past year. Outside of PLAY, Ryan enjoys kung fu, debate, programming, and competitive math. This year as an outreach officer, Ryan hopes to expand PLAY’s reach across his community and help even more people through service events, fundraising, and tutoring.

Sophia Zhang

Outreach Officer

Sophia Zhang is a senior at Foothill High School and has been a part of PLAY for many years, leading programs and serving as a Youth Leader last year. Outside of PLAY, she enjoys playing volleyball, singing, and spending time with friends and family. This year, Sophia hopes to focus on the PLAY Instagram account and consistently post, while also exploring other ways to market and promote the community to expand its audience.

Jasper Ding

Treasurer

Jasper is a junior attending Dougherty Valley High School. Jasper enjoys hanging out with friends, and playing sports, such as volleyball. He is looking forward to a great year of helping out PLAY.

Daniel Liao

Event Coordinator

Daniel is a junior at Dougherty Valley High School. He first joined PLAY as part of the PLAY Finance club. Outside of PLAY, Daniel loves reading, playing soccer, and photography. His goal for this year is to improve PLAY’s engagement, reach, and visibility.

Allen Li

Event Coordinator

Allen Li is a sophomore at Amador Valley High School. At PLAY Leadership, he takes part in a wide range of volunteer activities and is the co-founder of PLAY Eco-Earth. He is actively involved in planning PLAY Leadership events, contributes to the music subgroup, and leads the PLAY badminton subgroup.
Outside the organization, Allen enjoys biking and playing badminton. He has strong interests in physics, engineering, and the clarinet, and practices regularly to improve his skills. Allen looks forward to meeting new people and making meaningful memories through PLAY.

Henry Yu

Event Coordinator

Henry Yu is a sophomore at Amador Valley High School. He has been a part of PLAY since 2021 and has led the volunteering event Fertile Groundworks since 2023. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering and playing saxophone. He looks forward to further expanding PLAY’s subgroups.

Anna Zhu

Event Coordinator

As a rising freshman at Dougherty Valley High School, Anna has been volunteering with PLAY for 5 years. She first started refurbishing masks during the pandemic and has since expanded her efforts toward other events, including helping the unhoused, Chinese storytelling, writing and designing for PLAY Times, and teaching students as part of PLAY Speech and Debate. Her main hobbies outside of volunteering include reading, writing, speech and debate, and playing the violin. She hopes to help others explore their interests in volunteering and expand PLAY’s reach in the community.

Yilin Zhang

Youth Leader

Yilin Zhang is a senior at King’s Classical Academy. She has been involved with PLAY for three years, specifically as a tutor in PlayTutoring. Outside of PLAY, she enjoys baking, piano, and cherishing time with family and friends. This year, Yilin’s goal is to help coordinate new fundraising events and contribute to making PlayTutoring an even more impactful program for students and volunteers.

Amanda Feldmeier

Youth Leader

Amanda is a junior at the Quarry Lane High School. She is an active member of PLAY’s Chinese Storytelling subgroup, where she has grown from creating and hosting Kahoot games to hosting monthly meetings. Outside of PLAY, Amanda enjoys playing badminton, spending time with friends, and playing with her cat. She is passionate about being able to give back to the community through volunteering and donations

John Chen

Youth Leader

John is a freshman at Dougherty Valley High School. John likes to read, socialize with acquaintances, and explore the wilderness. He does Scouting and is a Star Scout...For those who don't know, the third highest rank! He is excited to bring what experience he has to help this organization grow and inspire future leaders to do the same.

Jerry Yi

Youth Leader

Jerry Yi is a freshman at Monte Vista High School. He has been volunteering for PLAY over the past six years. Some of the events he participates in are Play Music, Kids Against Hunger, and Trash Pickup. Outside of PLAY, he enjoys soccer, piano, saxophone, graphic design, art, and biking. He looks to contribute to PLAY Leadership more often over the next year.

Anna Zhang

Youth Leader

Anna is a 7th grader at Albany Middle School. She has been volunteering for PLAY Leadership for 3 years, and started off participating in many events such as working at community gardens, packaging and distributing food and hygiene kits, and visiting senior centers. Anna loves playing piano and flute, listening to music, drawing, and spending time with friends, and she looks forward to helping PLAY gain more younger members.
